Coordination of all operational, demurrage, cargo marine insurance and contractual matters from trade inception to contract completion
1. Resolves operational issues, related to purchasing and sales contracts
2. Obtains vessel acceptance from customers
3. Issues voyage orders to shipping/counter-parties and monitors progress of vessel, informing traders of any slippage and speed-ups in a timely manner
4. Issues nomination and documentary instructions to terminal and suppliers
5. Appoints approved inspectors as required
6. Verifies compliance between loaded cargoes and contracted terms
7. Ensures cargo loading and discharging adheres to any credit or L/C requirements
8. Assures any issued purchase confirmation/LoC complies with the forecasted operation
9. Upon receipt of financial guarantee issues release request to the financing institution and assures product released prior loading
10. Updates spread sheets for all tanker and related information
11. Checks all calculations related to the trade (freight, demurrage, product, inspectors, gains/losses and insurance)
12. Minimizes profit leakage by negotiating with inspectors, customers’ demurrage departments and by controlling and optimizing contracts
13. Submits claims to suppliers or customers where necessary
14. Maintains accurate records of each cargo and contract including prompt and accurate filing
15. Ensures compliance with all operational processes
16. Assists traders on various operational issues
