Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly, answer their inquiries, assist them in locating items, and provide helpful advice or recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
Transaction Processing:
Operate scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronic systems to accurately process customer transactions.
Cash Register Management:
Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift, and generate reports for credit and debit sales to ensure accuracy.
Payment Handling:
Accept payments from customers, ensuring that all prices and quantities are correct. Provide a receipt for every transaction.
Refunds and Exchanges:
Process refunds and exchanges in accordance with store policies, addressing customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
Packaging Purchases:
Safely bag or wrap purchased items to ensure they are secure during transport.
Store Procedures Compliance:
Follow all store procedures regarding the use of coupons, gift cards, and the sale of specific items (e.g., alcohol, cigarettes) to ensure compliance with regulations.
Workspace Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming workspace to contribute to a positive shopping environment.
