The design manager develop and implement successful design strategies by outlining how the design team will create the project's deliverables. He often manage several designers and evaluate individual design deliverables alongside team performance, delivering critical feedback when necessary. He will coordinate all of the design work required during construction projects. They manage the production of technical drawings, bring together architects, structural and service engineers, along with specialist designers and BIM technicians, to create coordinated designs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of technical designers, providing guidance and expertise throughout the design process.
• Collaborate with the project management team to establish project requirements, objectives, and timelines.
• Oversee the development and implementation of design concepts, ensuring adherence to specifications, codes, and standards.
• Provide technical expertise and support to resolve any design challenges or issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design elements into the overall project plan.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to identify potential conflicts or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source and select appropriate materials, finishes, and fittings for each project.
• Conduct thorough reviews and inspections of design deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor the progress of design activities and provide regular updates to the project management team.
• Identify areas for improvement in design processes and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Professional Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in technical design management within the marble sector, preferably in Dubai or the UAE.
• In-depth knowledge of marble design principles, materials, and construction methods.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, 3D modeling tools, and rendering software.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
