Job Summary:
The Cashier Cum Accountant is responsible for handling daily cash transactions, maintaining cash drawers, and supporting basic accounting functions to ensure accurate financial records and smooth day-to-day operations. This role combines cashier duties with entry-level accounting tasks, providing timely and reliable financial information to the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Cash Handling and Settlement
Receive and process cash, checks, and electronic payments from customers.
Issue receipts, balance cash drawers at start/end of shifts, and reconcile cash with sales records.
Manage refunds, discounts, and voids in accordance with company policy.
Prepare daily cash summary reports and escalate discrepancies to the supervisor.
