We are looking for a qualified and experienced safety officer to join our construction team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Trakhees EHS regulations, and a proven track record of implementing health, safety, and environmental measures in large-scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and project-specific safety plans in compliance with Trakhees requirements and UAE safety legislation.
Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and propose mitigation strategies during planning and execution phases.
Monitor site activities to ensure strict adherence to approved safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
Prepare, submit, and follow up all necessary HSE documentation to Trakhees and other relevant authorities (e.g., safety plans, emergency response plans, method statements).
Lead toolbox talks, safety induction training, and HSE awareness campaigns for workers and subcontractors.
Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents; prepare detailed reports and root cause analyses with corrective and preventive action plans.
Coordinate with project management, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure a strong safety culture on site.
Maintain and audit safety records, inspection logs, and site registers as per project and regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or Three year Diploma in Engineering. Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in Trakhees-regulated or gulf projects.
NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification is mandatory.
In-depth knowledge of UAE EHS laws, Trakhees Construction Safety Regulations, and international best practices (e.g., ISO 45001).
Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
Proficiency in safety management software/tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
