We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Office Engineer (Estimation) with a Quantity Surveying (QS) background to join our Estimation Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, BOQs, and project costing by reviewing client/consultant reports, verifying quantities at site, and analyzing drawings and specifications. This role requires frequent site visits for quantity take-offs, coordination with subcontractors for outsourced scopes, and strong knowledge of estimation concepts.

• Review tender documents, reports, drawings, and specifications provided by clients/consultants.
• Conduct frequent site visits to verify quantities, validate provided reports, and perform quantity take-offs.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on site surveys, drawings, and specifications.
• Develop accurate cost estimates for projects, including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Identify items outside the company’s scope and involve subcontractors for pricing and technical proposals.
• Coordinate and follow up with subcontractors to obtain quotations, analyze bids, and ensure competitive costing.
• Prepare estimation reports, comparison statements, and recommendations for management review.
• Understand and interpret engineering drawings to extract and verify quantities.
• Maintain and update cost databases, historical records, and price lists for accurate forecasting.
• Support management in tender submissions, budget preparation, and value engineering exercises.
• Prepare professional reports and documentation based on site surveys and estimation analyses.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a strong Quantity Surveying (QS) background.
• min 3 years of proven experience in estimation and quantity surveying roles within construction/contracting.
• Strong knowledge of estimation principles, BOQ preparation, and cost analysis.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, and estimation software (Primavera/MS Project is an advantage).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate with subcontractors and evaluate quotations.
• Proactive, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to conduct site surveys for verification and reporting.
