Job Summary:
The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to ensure efficient operation and a safe, comfortable environment. The role requires strong technical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heaters, ventilation, and refrigeration units.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks to ensure system efficiency and minimize downtime.
Monitor system performance and adjust settings for optimal energy efficiency.
Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
Handle refrigerants in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Test, calibrate, and balance HVAC systems as required.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment condition.
Respond promptly to emergency service requests.
Follow company safety policies, procedures, and industry standards at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma/Certificate in HVAC, Mechanical, or related field.
Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and controls.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Familiarity with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Physical ability to work in confined spaces, on rooftops, and in varying weather conditions.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Valid HVAC certification/license (if required in region).
Valid driver’s license preferred.
